Our chiropractors undergo a five year, full time degree, qualifying them to carry out a full medical and health history examination, x-rays plus neurological, orthopaedic and chiropractic tests in order to diagnose your complaint.

Chiropractic treatment will be offered if appropriate to your condition and a plan will be tailored to your individual needs. Alternatively if our chiropractors are unable to help they will make the necessary referral to the appropriate practitioner. You do not need a GP referral to see a chiropractor.

Chiropractors use a range of techniques to reduce pain, improve function and increase mobility, including hands-on manipulation of the spine. A Chiropractic adjustment is specific and focused while being safe and a completely natural approach to healing. As well as manual treatment, chiropractors are able to offer a package of care which includes advice on self-help, therapeutic exercises and lifestyle changes.

Chiropractic treatment involves safe, often gentle, specific spinal manipulation to free joints in the spine or other areas of the body that are not moving properly. Apart from manipulation, chiropractors may use a variety of techniques including ice, heat, ultrasound, exercise, acupuncture, and cupping, as well as advice about posture and lifestyle.

I qualified as a chiropractor from The Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 2000. I have worked at The London Road Clinic since 2012. Outside of work I enjoy running and have completed a number of marathons and ultra-marathons. Having always been a keen player and spectator of sport, I take a particular interest in sports injuries. In addition to chiropractic care, I provide Shockwave Therapy treatment at the clinic. I am enthusiastic to impart my knowledge to my patients to enable them to avoid recurrence of their back pain or injury, to train better and to help them improve their overall health. I aim to empower my patients to manage their health better.

I qualified from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 1987 and I’ve been at the London Road Chiropractic Clinic since 2011. Currently I am doing a Master’s in Medical Education at Cambridge University and I am working with the Royal College of Chiropractors to develop postgraduate training within the profession. I’ve a Master’s in Evidence-based Health Care from Oxford and am involved in researching the effect of social prescribing on musculoskeletal pain. I also taught on the degree course at the AECC for five years and am currently a Visiting Research Fellow looking into assessment of final year students. I’m particularly interested in lifestyle medicine and chiropractic care of sports injuries and have treated sports professionals both in-clinic and at events such as the Le Mans 24 hour race and the Ladies’ European Golf Tour.

I graduated from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic in 1995 and have been practicing for over 25 years. I first worked at The London Road Chiropractic Clinic after graduation and I now work at the clinic part-time whilst also running my own clinic in Market Harborough. I have an interest in pregnant women and children having undertaken extra training in this area. I treat children of all ages and like to have an informal chat before you book just to ensure chiropractic treatment is the right treatment for your child. I am a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP) which gives me a greater understanding of the biomechanical functions of each joint and muscle and the adjustments associated with them. I take great pride in the fact that I gain a large number of my patients through recommendations alone. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and travelling.

My first encounter with Chiropractic was when I was 15 and a chronic migraine sufferer. The only treatment that seemed to help was Chiropractic, this spurred me on to become a Chiropractor. I trained at AECC and graduated in 1990. I’ve been at The London Road Chiropractic Clinic since then, giving me more than 30 years experience. After graduating I went on to study Ergonomics at Loughborough University which led to an interest in post-graduate education and I took on the role of post-graduate course coordinator for Trent and West Midlands for 10 years. I also served as British Chiropractic Association Secretary for over 15 years. I enjoy treating a large range of patients, keeping up to date with current musculoskeletal treatments, and adding to my “package of care”. I believe that Chiropractic is much more than “ cracking backs”, listening to patients as well as thorough examination and a proper diagnosis are the basis of any treatment or management plan. When not helping patients you can find me on the golf course trying to get my handicap down.
